BFBS – बि एफ बि एस

BFBS Radio is immensely proud of its links with the Brigade of Gurkhas, which date back to the Malayan Crisis when BFBS Singapore broadcast messages to Gurkhas serving ‘up country’. More than half a century later, the BFBS Gurkha Radio network covers three main bases, in the UK, Nepal and Brunei, with coverage in Afghanistan and Iraq for Gurkhas on operations.

BFBS Gurkha Radio UK broadcasts live from our studios in Shorncliffe to Gurkhas in nine different locations in the UK, from Brecon to Stafford. We also have studios in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, and in Seria, Brunei, currently home of the First Battalion, Royal Gurkha Rifles. Because of the time differences between UK, Nepal and Brunei, live programmes from all three countries can be heard throughout the day on BFBS Gurkha Radio.
